Bilingual Loan Officer Assistant

Position Overview:

The Bilingual Loan Officer Assistant supports high-producing Loan Officers within CrossCountry Mortgage ("CCM") and is essential to ensuring an efficient and seamless loan process for external clients. This role supports the mortgage lending process by reviewing applications, analyzing financial documentation and submitted files through automated underwriting systems. The Bilingual Loan Officer Assistant requires fluency in both English and Spanish to effectively serve a diverse client base and ensure clear, respectful communication throughout the lending process.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review mortgage applications for accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct welcome calls and maintain proactive communication with clients throughout the loan process.
• Collect, verify, and organize borrower documentation (income, assets, credit, etc.).
• Perform income analysis and calculations.
• Submit loan files through automated underwriting systems (DU/LP).
• Prepare pre-approval letters on behalf of the Loan Officer.
• Understand and advise clients on various loan program options.
• Partner with internal teams to ensure loans are processed and closed on time.
• Attend in-office meetings and training sessions at the branch office in The Colony, Texas.
• Work overtime as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Fluency in the languages of Spanish and English in order to communicate effectively with internal and external customers, of whom may speak only English or Spanish.
• 2+ years of experience in the mortgage industry.
• Proficient experience with loan origination software (Encompass preferred).
• Extensive knowledge of loan origination and underwriting processes.
• Knowledge of residential mortgage procedures and loan programs.
• Familiarity with FHA, VA, Conventional, and Non-QM loan programs.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Skilled in multitasking and managing competing priorities effectively.
• Excels in dynamic, high-volume settings.
