Join to apply for the Bus Mechanic - Shop Manager role at Nixa Public Schools . Primary Tasks Perform periodic maintenance and repairs on automotive equipment. Diagnose, remove, replace, or repair engines, transmissions, brake systems, steering, suspension, exhaust, fuel, wheel assemblies, electrical, and other major components. Inspect parts for wear or damage. Replace engines, transmissions, and subassemblies when necessary. Test overhauled and repaired equipment to ensure safety and efficiency. Assist others during assembly/disassembly of equipment. Direct others involved in repairs. Educational/Skills/Experience Required Must perform all duties of a Maintenance Mechanic or Utility Person. Possess a valid CDL, school bus permit, and air conditioning certifications. Good working knowledge of automotive systems including A/C.
