Business Intelligence Analyst II

💰 Estimated Salary : $63,590 – $121,530 per year

Overview

A leading financial services organization is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst II to support data-driven decision-making by analyzing business problems and trends using internal and external data sources. In this role, you will contribute to report development, data visualization, and analytics solutions that deliver insights across cross-functional teams.

This is a hybrid position requiring in-office presence 4 days per week. Locations include Phoenix, AZ, San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, or Tampa, FL. Relocation assistance is not available.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define business requirements and data needs
• Use knowledge of data structures and sources to support business intelligence solutions
• Partner with IT and data teams on data infrastructure and analytics platform initiatives
• Create impactful data visualizations and reports aligned with best practices and branding standards
• Translate data findings into meaningful business insights to support strategy and decision-making
• Prototype and test reports/dashboards to ensure usability and alignment with end-user goals
• Act as a data visualization advisor, guiding stakeholders in interpreting analytics outputs
• Understand relevant data architecture and support governance and technical standards
• Ensure compliance with risk management and data handling policies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Data Science)
• OR 4 additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree
• At least 2 years of experience in data analytics or functional business analysis
• Proficiency with business intelligence tools and platforms such as Tableau, Business Objects, Snowflake, Hadoop, Netezza, or SQL-based systems
• Demonstrated ability to think critically, solve problems, and present findings effectively
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, including experience working across teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Intermediate to advanced SQL experience
• Working knowledge of Power BI and dashboard creation
• Familiarity with Python for data manipulation or analysis
