Construction Superintendent – Multifamily / Senior Living

Location: Initial project in Batavia, IL (travel required); subsequent projects in Central Indiana (local, no travel)

Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role

Our client, a respected general contractor headquartered in Carmel, Indiana, is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent with proven success leading multifamily or senior-living ground-up projects .

The first assignment is a unique project in Batavia, Illinois . Travel, lodging, and per-diem will be fully covered. Upon completion, you will transition to local projects in the greater Indianapolis / Central Indiana region with travel requirements determined by project.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all on-site field operations from mobilization through certificate of occupancy.
• Enforce safety protocols and maintain an incident-free job site (OSHA 30 required).
• Coordinate and sequence subcontractors, material deliveries, and equipment.
• Lead daily huddles, weekly subcontractor meetings, and 3-week look-ahead schedules.
• Maintain daily logs, photos, RFIs, and quality-control checklists in Procore (or similar).
• Collaborate with the Project Manager on budget, schedule, and change-order management.
• Punch-list and close-out deliverables to achieve on-time, on-budget turnover.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years as lead Superintendent on multifamily or senior-living projects ($15M+).
• Ground-up wood-frame or podium experience; Type I/II experience a plus.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project (or Primavera).
• Valid OSHA 30-Hour certification (current).
• Clean driving record and ability to pass background/drug screen.
• Willingness to travel/relocate temporarily to Batavia, IL for the first project (all expenses paid).
