Cybersecurity Engineer

Our client, a leader in their industry, has an excellent opportunity for a Cybersecurity Engineer to work on a 6-month contract-to-hire position in Philadelphia, PA, Wilmington, DE, Jacksonville, FL, or Cape Canaveral, FL. This position requires 10% travel and offers a hybrid work setup after an initial onsite ramp-up.
This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $57 - $63 w-2, conversion salary $110,000/year plus 10% bonus
Responsibilities:
• Identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies to secure information assets.
• Evaluate, select, and deploy new security tools and technologies.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Monitor, triage, and remediate cybersecurity alerts and incidents.
• Support patch management and vulnerability remediation efforts.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or related field.
• 2-5 years of cybersecurity experience.
• Experience with platforms like Crowdstrike, SentinelOne, Proofpoint, and Tenable.
• Knowledge of network architecture (Cisco/Meraki, Ubiquiti) and hybrid environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
Preferred:
• Experience with DRaaS, scripting, AWS, and Microsoft 365.
• Familiarity with infrastructure and security overlap in small IT teams.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available and that may result in pay outside of the range provided.
