Furniture Delivery Helper

Job Summary


The Furniture Delivery Helper assists the delivery driver with the safe loading, transport, and installation of furniture at customer locations. This role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills to ensure furniture is delivered efficiently and without damage.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the driver in loading and unloading furniture from delivery vehicles
• Carry, lift, and move furniture safely into homes or businesses
• Help assemble, disassemble, or position furniture as required
• Protect furniture and customer property using proper handling techniques
• Follow delivery schedules and routes efficiently
• Provide courteous and professional customer service at all times
• Obtain customer signatures and assist with delivery documentation
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery truck
• Requirements & Qualifications
  
  
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to lift heavy items (typically 50-100 lbs) repeatedly
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Basic knowledge of tools used for furniture assembly
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
