Toft Dairy in Sandusky, Ohio is seeking Delivery Truck Drivers with a Class A or Class B CDL (with current medical card) for delivering milk and ice cream products to our clients. For 125 years, Toft's dairy products have been a North Central Ohio favorite. The family tradition of delivering quality products, along with excellent customer service remains a top priority. In maintaining a strong focus, the ideal candidate(s) must be punctual, dependable and hardworking as well as having a positive attitude and a safe driving record.

Routes range within 150 miles or less from Sandusky, OH and all routes leave from Toft Dairy (3717 Venice Road Sandusky, OH) between Midnight to 4 AM to meet our customer's delivery requirements. Toft's delivery drivers enjoy a 40+ hr/wk., while being home every night and having weekends off. Following a 60-day initial period, Medical Insurance is available with Rx Drug coverage, and supplemental benefits after 90-days. Additional benefits include... vacation time, sick pay, paid holiday time-off. 401(k) is offered the first day of employment with a company match after 6 months of continued employment.

Qualifications:

• Must be reliable / dependable (punctuality is a must)
• Must have a positive attitude and pleasant disposition
• Ability to maintain a high standard of customer service
• Must be able to pass DOT Physical Exam
• Must be able to pass initial and random drug testing
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records
• Ability to follow written and oral directions
• Ability to read and interpret and follow policies/procedures (Food Safety, General Safety, DOT Safety, HR, etc.)

Physical Requirements:

• Climbing in & out of truck
• Sitting for periods of time while operating hand & foot controls
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to push/pull loaded pallet jack and/or 2 wheeled hand-truck
• Lifting, stacking, carrying is required
• Ability to work in cold temperatures
• Ability to balance on slippery walking surfaces ( especially during winter conditions )

Equipment:

• Straight trucks & tractor trailers with lift gate
• Pallet jack / 2 wheeled hand-truck
