Job Description

Our client, a leader in entertainment media, is seeking a skilled and strategic Design Lead to guide the design direction of a cross-functional product development team (POD). This expert player-coach will drive a human-centered product vision, lead agile design execution, and deliver production-ready solutions that align with business goals and product strategies. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in UX design, a track record of leadership in cross-functional environments, and a passion for building scalable, high-impact enterprise products.

Responsibilities:

• Define strategic platform design vision aligned with business objectives and product strategies.
• Drive platform evolution to support advanced analytics and seamless user experience.
• Lead and execute iterative design research (generative and evaluative) to inform backlog and UX decisions.
• Translate user stories into detailed design deliverables and inform story acceptance criteria and prioritization.
• Lead and maintain the POD’s design system and contribute to broader design ops.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, data scientists, and developers to ensure effective design implementation.
• Facilitate cross-team design discussions to ensure consistency, efficiency, and delivery excellence.
• Advocate for design and research best practices across teams.
• Represent the user voice in sprint demos and leadership interactions.
• Ensure accessibility compliance and adherence to UX standards.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience leading design teams in cross-functional settings.
• 8+ years of UX design experience with strong portfolio showcasing Figma expertise.
• Proven track record of driving innovation and implementing effective design solutions.
• Expertise with Figma, Miro, Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft 365 tools.
• Experience designing enterprise products (preferred).
• Background in software development (preferred).
• Industry experience in finance, media, or entertainment (preferred).
• Proactive mindset and strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Expertise in agile, B2B, and mobile-first product design.
• Strong understanding of accessibility standards and product research practices.
• Ability to work with large data sets and translate insights into impactful design.
• Skilled at visualizing data and design concepts using tools like Figma and Miro.
