A bit about us: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Estimator to join our team in the Commercial Flooring division of our growing Construction company. This unique opportunity will allow you to showcase your expertise in cost analysis, project management, and contract negotiation in a high-energy, fast-paced environment. Your role will be critical in examining plans and specifications to prepare a complete scope of work. You will also work closely with the sales team and bring your knowledge of the flooring industry to the table.

Job Details Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial flooring projects, including carpet, hardwood, resilient, and ceramic tile.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
- Conduct comprehensive cost analysis and management to ensure projects are completed within budget.
- Perform project management tasks such as coordinating with subcontractors, managing resources, and monitoring project progress.
- Participate in project bidding, presenting estimates and conducting contract negotiations.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for pursuing new opportunities.
- Continually stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in the commercial flooring industry to ensure our company remains competitive.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, suppliers, contractors, and the internal team.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the commercial construction industry, with a focus on flooring.
- Proven experience in cost analysis, project management, commercial construction, project bidding, and contract negotiation.
- Strong knowledge of the flooring industry, including carpet, hardwood, resilient, and ceramic tile.
- Exceptional ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
- Excellent mathematical and IT skills, with proficiency in estimation software.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a knack for building strong relationships with clients and partners.
- Highly organized, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
- A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
