About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Center for Career Exploration and Success. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and vision to ensure that students are well-prepared for successful career paths. This role involves developing and implementing a comprehensive strategic plan for the center, championing innovative career practices, and overseeing the expansion of cooperative education and experiential learning opportunities. The Executive Director will also be tasked with enhancing market positioning and employer relations, fostering cross-campus collaboration, and leading a team of career services professionals. Assessment, evaluation, and resource management are key components of the position, as is serving as an advocate for career services within the university and the broader community. Applicants for the Executive Director position must have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of experience, or a Master’s degree and at least 6 years of experience, with a background in career services or a related field, preferably in a university setting. The role requires a candidate with a strong understanding of current job market trends, employer needs, and career development best practices. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills are essential, as is a proven ability to lead, manage, and develop a team. Experience in assessment and evaluation, as well as with career services management platforms, is also necessary. The ideal candidate will have a track record of success in developing and implementing innovative career programs and services, and experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with employers.
