Japanese Automotive manufacturing company is seeking a General Manager to oversee their manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management and a proven track record in optimizing plant performance. This role requires a strategic thinker who can lead teams, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure the highest standards of quality control. The General Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the plant's operations, including production planning, supply chain management, and adherence to lean manufacturing principles. Salary: $96,000 - $100,000 plus bonus $8,000+ Location: Georgetown, KY Day Shift 7am - 4pm Responsibilities: Oversee daily plant operations and ensure efficient production processes. Implement and manage production planning and scheduling to meet customer demands. Utilize ERP systems, SAP, and MRP for effective resource management. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste. Lead quality control efforts to maintain product standards and compliance with industry regulations. Collaborate with supply chain analytics to optimize inventory levels and streamline logistics. Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability among staff. Manage plant budgets, resources, and personnel to achieve operational goals. Conduct regular assessments of manufacturing processes for potential improvements. Skills: Strong knowledge of production management principles and practices. Proficiency in SAP, MRP, and other ERP systems relevant to manufacturing operations. Experience with lean manufacturing techniques and process improvement methodologies. Solid understanding of supply chain management and analytics. Mechanical knowledge relevant to plant equipment and assembly processes. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams towards common goals. Strong analytical skills for problem-solving and decision-making in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
