The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. The Guest Service Associate is responsible for parking and retrieving guest vehicles in a prompt yet safe manner and assisting guests with luggage, including delivery and pick up of guest luggage (where applicable) during arrival and departure. Essential functions include maintaining a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients; acknowledging and greeting guests within five feet; using guest last names during interactions; practicing proper phone etiquette; parking and retrieving vehicles cautiously; assisting guests with bell services and luggage storage; opening vehicle and hotel doors for guests; assisting guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries; providing information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions; delivering messages, items and guest amenities; shuttling guests to approved locations; explaining parking rates and retrieval procedures; issuing claim checks after receiving vehicle keys and collecting claim checks prior to issuing keys; completing and maintaining all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey and claim check receipt; calculating and collecting revenue when needed. The job requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license for the state or commutable distance, one month related experience or equivalent, knowledge of customer service principles, ability to read, write and comprehend English, perform basic math, understand time systems and rates, and operate a manual transmission is highly desirable. Physical demands include talking, hearing, sitting or standing for extended periods, running, walking, handling objects, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally. Work is mostly outdoors with exposure to extreme weather. Travel up to 5% may be required.
