About the Role

This insurance role supports customers by building and maintaining strong relationships with insurance brokers to place business effectively. The role partners closely with underwriters to develop and implement placement strategies that increase participation and drive profitable growth. Additionally, this position acts as a trusted resource for internal teams and external partners, offering insights on market trends, coverage solutions, and risk management.

The Day-to-Day

  • Evaluate risk and utilize market knowledge to seek multiple quotes for business and clients.
  • Build positive relationships with numerous carriers and brokers, often seeking new markets.
  • Be a subject matter expert across multiple product lines.
  • Have strong market knowledge with the ability to establish competitive insurance solutions for our clients.
  • Provide application and policy consultation to clients.
  • Work directly with the client, providing quotes, issuance and other information.
  • Bind policies and handle mid-term communication and requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Current and active Property & Casualty license or the ability to obtain a license within 45 days of employment.
  • College degree or 2+ years of related insurance experience.
  • Underwriting experience is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks.
  • Detail-oriented to ensure accuracy.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to navigate through multiple systems without assistance.
