Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Grand Openings & Community Engagement

• Own the new store opening calendar and manage end-to-end grand opening (GO) marketing execution
• Collaborate with Development and Operations to build and manage timelines for Ground Breakings, Founders Club Presale Promotions, Ribbon Cuttings, Free Wash Weeks, and GO Club Specials
• Source, secure, and communicate with local non-profit partners for fundraising and community involvement
• Coordinate and manage all GO-related marketing deliverables including print, digital, radio, and social media
• Collaborate with our Sales Director to ensure the timely delivery of Grand Opening guides and training for onsite teams to ensure brand consistency and field execution
• Manage onsite special events (ribbon cuttings, giveaways, civic outreach) and facilitate photo/video content capture
• Draft and distribute pre and post-GO press releases and analyze promotional performance

Corporate Communications & Public Relations

• Develop and implement compelling communication strategies for internal teams, customers, partners, media, and other stakeholders
• Partner cross-functionally with HR, Marketing, Development, Engineering and Executive Leadership to ensure aligned brand messaging
• Write and distribute press releases, media pitches, articles, and talking points; coordinate interviews
• Create executive content and support thought leadership opportunities at key speaking engagements and events

Employee Engagement & Internal Communications

• Through cross collaboration with HR, lead the planning and execution of internal communication campaigns, including updates, recognition, and cultural initiatives
• Serve as a communications liaison for employee engagement, training initiatives, and culture-building programs
• Oversee EWC Cares messaging and promotion, including donation campaigns and philanthropic storytelling

Awards & Brand Recognition

• Manage the full Awards Program lifecycle from research to nomination and announcement to elevate company and leadership visibility

Crisis & Operational Communications

• Develop and maintain SOPs for crisis and emergency messaging, ensuring consistent and clear communication across the company

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in a communications, event marketing, or PR role (preferably in a multi-brand or retail environment)
• Exceptional writing, editing, and content development skills with an eye for tone and brand consistency
• Strong organizational skills with proven experience managing simultaneous projects and deadlines
• Executive presence and comfort working with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
• Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time
