*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting patients in selecting and fitting eyewear, ensuring that they receive the highest level of service and care. This role requires a strong understanding of optical principles, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.

*Duties*

* Assist patients in choosing appropriate eyewear based on their prescription and lifestyle needs.
* Accurately fit and adjust eyeglasses and contact lenses to ensure comfort and proper vision correction.
* Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
* Provide education to patients regarding proper eyewear care and usage.
* Collaborate with optometrists to ensure seamless patient care and follow-up.
* Manage inventory of optical products, including ordering and restocking as necessary.
* Utilize medical coding for insurance claims processing related to optical services.
* Implement aseptic techniques when handling medical records and equipment.

*Experience*

* Previous experience in an optical setting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
* Knowledge of retail sales practices, including customer service excellence.
* Familiarity with medical records management and HIPAA compliance is advantageous.
* Understanding of anatomy and physiology related to vision care is a plus.
* Experience in retail management or systems is beneficial for those looking to advance within the organization.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
