Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Prior Authorization / Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for obtaining insurance authorizations and checking eligibility for medical procedures and services, ensuring timely approvals to facilitate patient care.

Duties

• Review and process prior authorization requests for medical services
• Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to gather necessary information
• Verify insurance coverage, copays, deductibles, and eligibility for requested services
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and company policies
• Maintain accurate records of authorizations and follow-up as needed

Skills

• Proficiency in medical terminology and coding
• Experience working in a medical office or managed care setting
• Knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorization processes
• Familiarity with ENT and Internal Medicine office procedures is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35-40 per week

Experience:

• Insurance verification and prior authorization: 1 year (Required)
• Medical receptionist: 1 year (Required)
