UT Health East Texas has extended its healthcare services to include urgent care facilities. These locations have highly skilled and compassionate healthcare professionals dedicated to providing exceptional care for various non-life-threatening conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician.
• Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes.
• Clinical duties may include rooming patients, taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current licensure as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• 6 months' medical clinic experience preferred.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• NCT certification.
