RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Oracle DBA in New York, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Database Administration: Manage and maintain Oracle databases, ensuring high availability, security, and reliability
- AWS Integration: Deploy, configure, and manage Oracle databases on AWS, leveraging AWS services for scalability and performance
- Oracle GoldenGate: Implement and manage Oracle GoldenGate for real-time data replication and integration across heterogeneous environments
- Performance Management: Monitor and optimize database performance, including query tuning, indexing, and resource management
- Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability
- Security Management: Ensure database security by implementing best practices for access control, encryption, and auditing
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve database-related issues, providing timely support to internal teams and stakeholders
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and best practices
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Oracle database administration
- Experience with AWS services, including EC2, RDS, S3, and VPC
- Expertise in Oracle GoldenGate for data replication and integration
- Strong knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques
- Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies and tools
- Understanding of database security best practices
- Proficiency in Oracle database management and administration
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
