Job Title: Permit/Zoning Agent

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permit/Zoning Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Right of Way/Real Estate industry, with at least 2 years working specifically as a Permit/Zoning Agent. This role requires exceptional organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting objectives and deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate and negotiate permit and approval requirements with local, state, and federal agencies.
• Secure temporary workspaces, licenses, and permits.
• Apply company policies and procedures to all activities.
• Represent the company in dealings with agencies such as railroads, FAA, DNR, and others.
• Process insurance certificate and bond posting requests.
• Prepare and send correspondence and overnight documents.

Skills:

• Proven experience with utility permitting.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
• Proficient in interpreting regulatory policies and procedures affecting real estate transactions.
• Skilled in reading real estate documents, legal descriptions, and construction-related drawings.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the Right of Way/Real Estate industry.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Permit/Zoning Agent.
