What You'll Do: - Perform patient sitting for patients requiring 1:1 after successful completion of required learning activities
- Prepare rooms for patient arrivals, ensuring all necessary equipment is replenished
- Greet patients upon arrival, ensuring call bell, bed alarm, side rails and white board are completed as appropriate
- Assist with hourly rounding and room safety checks
- Deliver meal trays and set up patients to eat
- Assist with lifting and positioning of patients
- Answer call lights and direct patient needs to the appropriate resource
- Stock departments as needed
- Engage patients in activities such as playing cards, puzzles, ambulation, etc.
- Other indirect patient care duties as assigned
What We're Looking For: Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated independent judgment in times of need, along with the ability to seek guidance and/or support from appropriate resources
- Computer literacy
- Ability to write clearly and concisely
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred:
- Previous experience in a hospital setting serving the same age/type of patient population
