NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the National Park Service (NPS). These experienced professionals provide administrative expertise, facilities management, natural and cultural resource planning, and a broad array of other professional skills that support the National Park Service through the Experienced Services Program (ESP).
Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee.
PLEASE NOTE: An ?Enrollee? is not a federal employee, nor an employee of NEW Solutions. An ?Enrollee? is a participant in a grant program established through a Cooperative Agreement funded by the agency and administered by NEW Solutions.

Qualifications: BA/BS Degree in Strategic Planning, Administration, Leadership, Facilitation with minimum additional experience of 10 year(s) in writing, editing and/or marketing OR Previously completed training in Strategic Planning and Communication
- Writing, verbal communications, graphics
- Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook, MS SharePoint
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design)
Duties: Works closely with the Regional Program Manager: Coordinates follow up and implementation RTCA project management. Develops effective systems to measure milestones to achieve those goals/objectives. Summarizes notes and analyzes facilitated discussion notes into a working plan to solidify key goals, establish clear guidance for staff, and to establish effective ways to track milestones. Candidate with work with meeting facilitators, Program Leader, Program Staff and others to develop a trackable working plan that aligns with the team?s collective vision for the next 2 years. Candidate drafts strategic plan communications, and organizes team information in Microsoft Teams Folders.
- Works with NPS RTCA Regional Program Manager to develop a process to engage staff, summarize discussions and to implement trackable milestones for the next 2 years. 40%
- Works with Team Meeting Facilitator to align annual meeting discussions with next steps and action plans. 20%
- Organizes Midwest RTCA Microsoft Teams Folders with Session notes, supporting documents, and working guidance on Strategic objectives. 20%
- Assists in the development of Signature RTCA Conservation and Recreation Projects to effectively showcase the RTCA Program. 20%
Other: - Overnight travel: Limited travel to interview project managers and see sites. Approximately one week every 2 months.
