As a Psychiatrist, you will treat a wide variety of mental health conditions that reflect the needs of our diverse patient population. Primary Responsibilities:
\n \n\n
Utilize evidence-based screening tools, medical tests, and diagnostic criteria to diagnose mental health conditions and formulate comprehensive treatment plans
\n\n
Deliver individual and group psychotherapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities tailored to each patient's needs
\n\n
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications per established protocols and clinical guidelines; monitor medication efficacy and side effects, adjusting treatment plans to optimize patient outcomes
\n\n
\n
Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records and clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
\n\n

Minimum Requirements:
\n \n\n
Must have a clear, active and unrestricted Physician license (MD/DO) in the state of practice
\n\n
Board certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) or eligible for board certification
\n\n
Active DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) registration
\n\n
\n \n
\n
Preferred Qualifications:
\n \n\n
2+ years of clinical experience in an outpatient behavioral health setting
\n\n
Experience providing patient education, specifically regarding medication treatment adherence and aftercare services
\n\n
Experience counseling patients using advanced psychotherapeutic techniques, including in group settings
\n\n
Experience treating substance addiction and co-occurring disorders
\n\n
Experience working with patients in different age groups, including older adults
\n\n
Experience working with couples or family counseling
\n\n
\n
Experience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation – Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS (or other EHRs)
\n\n
Knowledge of TMS
\n\n
Knowledge of Magventure chair
\n\n
Knowledge of Spravato
\n\n

\n \n \n \nRhode Island Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $255,573 to $372,297 annually. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
