Sales Trainee (Wholesale Distribution)

Silmar Electronics, Inc., one of the largest independent wholesale distributors of low voltage electronic security, fire, CCTV, access control, home automation, commercial and residential sound systems, is currently seeking a talented individual to join our team at our Greenville, SC location.

Responsibilities will include:

• learning all aspects and responsibilities of wholesale distribution
• receiving and shipping
• executing inventory cycle counts, customer service procedures
• RMA/Return responsibilities
• upon learning Silmar’s distribution model and areas of technology in the low voltage space, the candidate will then transition into an inside counter sales role (when employee has proven/displayed that they are ready; usually about 1 year).
• selling security products in accordance with our policies, principles, and procedures
• conducting telephone sales calls to our dealer network
• assisting our customers in selecting the right products for their applications
• keeping up to date with the latest products our vendors manufacture
• establishing and maintaining excellent customer relationships

This is an inside distribution sales/management trainee position with the potential to grow within the organization.

Qualifications: B2B Wholesale & customer service experience is preferred. Computer or computer network experience or education, technical sales experience, low voltage security industry experience is desired but not a requirement. Two or Four year college degree preferred.
