We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to support elementary-aged students in a self-contained classroom setting. The ideal candidate is student-focused, organized, and experienced in delivering individualized instruction aligned with students’ IEPs.
\n\nThis role plays a critical part in helping students with diverse learning needs achieve academic, social, and behavioral success in a supportive school environment.
\n\n\nPosition Details\n\nSchedule: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
\n\t\n\tGrade Level: Elementary
\n\t\n\tCaseload: Self-contained classroom
\n\t\n\tStart Date: ASAP
\n\t\n\tEnd Date: June 6, 2026 (Will have opportunity to extend into new school year)
\n\t\nDevelop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines
\n\t\n\tDeliver differentiated instruction tailored to students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
\n\t\n\tMaintain accurate documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance records
\n\t\n\tCollaborate with general education teachers, administrators, support staff, and families
\n\t\n\tManage classroom behavior using positive behavior supports and evidence-based strategies
\n\t\n\tParticipate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and multidisciplinary team discussions
\n\t\nBachelor’s degree in Special Education (Master’s degree preferred)
\n\t\n\tValid certification in Multi-Categorical Special Education
\n\t\n\tExperience working with elementary-aged students preferred
\n\t\n\tStrong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
\n\t\n\tAbility to work collaboratively in a team-oriented school environment
\n\t\nIDR Job ID #482753. Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
