Are you a Social Worker dedicated to improving the lives of seniors? As the Social Services Director at The Laurels of Charlottesville, you will provide medically-related social services that help guests to attain and/or maintain their physical, mental and psychosocial well-being.

Responsibilities:

\n
• Supervises Social Workers and guides facility staff in matters of residency advocacy, protection, and promotion of resident’s rights.
\n
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizational policies and applicable laws.
\n
• Uses independent judgment and discretion on behalf of the organization in the performance of these duties.
\n
• Supervisory responsibilities include:

   1. Interviews, hires, and trains Social Workers.
   \n
   2. Plans, assigns, and directs work.
   \n
   3. Prepares work assignment sheets.
   \n
   \n
\n

Qualifications:

\n
• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work.
\n
• One year supervised social work experience working directly with individuals in a health care setting.
\n
• Current Social Work license in the state.
\n
