Structural Fitter / Welder | $20 - 28/HR | 1ST SHIFT

Job Description

We are seeking 10 skilled Fitters and Fabricators to join our team at a steel fabrication facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fitting duties, including structural steel fitting and tack welding. Candidates must be able to read a tape measure to the 1/16th of an inch and lift up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Complete structural steel fitting and pipefitting tasks.
• Perform flux core and tack welding.
• Read and interpret blueprints for precise fitting.
• Use hand tools and tape measures accurately.
• Engage in fabrication activities including grinding and welding with various techniques like MIG, TIG, and pulse MIG.
• Handle construction and mechanical tasks involving stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum.
• 1-2 years of experience in structural steel fitting and pipefitting.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and using a tape measure.
• Experience in flux core welding and tack welding.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.

Pay / Shift / Contract Type

• Pay : $20 - $28/hr
• Schedule :
• Monday - Thursday | 6am - 4:30pm
• Friday | 5am - 1pm
• OT Saturday optional
• Contract Type :
• 3 month Contract-to-Hire | For the first 3 months you will be an Aerotek Employee with the opportunity to be hired on directly with the company after the contract period.
• Aerotek provides weekly pay and benefits for you and your family while on contract

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
