Job Title: Structural Welder

Job Description

The Structural Welder will be responsible for welding and assembling skids for modular cooling systems. This role involves working with I-beams and other structural pieces to create large skids. The ideal candidate must be able to pass a 3G and 4G MIG root with Flux pass on a 1/2 inch carbon plate weld test.

Responsibilities

• Weld and assemble skids for modular cooling systems.
• Work with I-beams and structural pieces to create large skids.
• Perform MIG and FLUX welding, including vertical and overhead techniques.
• Conduct grinding and gouging tasks.
• Utilize overhead crane for welding operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in structural welding.
• Proficiency in MIG and FLUX welding techniques.
• Experience in vertical and overhead welding.
• Ability to pass a 3G and 4G test with Flux and MIG on carbon plate.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Shop experience.
• Experience in skid welding.
• Overhead crane experience.

Work Environment

The role is based in a manufacturing shop that is non-climate controlled. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays included. The day shift runs from 6 AM to 4:30 PM, and the night shift runs from 4:30 PM to 2/3 AM.

This is a Contract position based out of Houston, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $27.00/hr.
