Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Telemetry Unit in Michigan with day shifts and advanced cardiac certification requirements.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a 54-bed hospital cardiovascular telemetry unit
• Patients are primarily monitored for cardiac conditions such as heart failure, heart attacks, arrhythmias, chest pain, and post-stroke cardiac monitoring
• Majority of patients are on cardiac monitors with both on-unit and remote telemetry room monitoring
• Experience with cardiac drips and the possibility of caring for medical overflow patients
• Uses Cerner Powerchart EMR
• Day shifts, working 3x12 hours (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• Required to work every other weekend
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Block scheduling not guaranteed but considered
• No on-call requirements
• Traveler must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Main responsibilities include managing telemetry patients, monitoring cardiac rhythms, and administering cardiac drips
• May care for a patient ratio up to 1:7 during periods of high census
• Team is in the process of hiring additional staff to reduce workload
• Scrub color is Caribbean Blue
• First-time travelers are welcome for consideration

• Active MI RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry RN experience
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Experience with cardiac patient populations and telemetry monitoring
• Experience with Cerner preferred
