Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for a Telemetry position on a cardiac unit in Michigan, requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active MI RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a 54-bed cardiac telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Majority of patients are monitored via cardiac telemetry, with remote telemetry room monitoring
• Patient population includes heart failure, heart attack (STEMI, NSTEMI), stroke, arrhythmias, chest pain, and occasional medical overflow
• Day shift schedule with 4x12 hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30
• Required to work every other weekend
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Block scheduling attempts may be accommodated but are not guaranteed
• No on-call responsibility
• PCA support is provided on the unit
• Uses Cerner Powerchart for documentation
• Nurses care for a range of cardiac and stroke patients requiring close telemetry monitoring, including management of cardiac drips
• Overflow medical patients may be assigned as needed
• Caribbean Blue scrubs are required
• First-time travelers are accepted for this contract

• Active MI RN license required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum of 1 year recent telemetry or relevant cardiac nursing experience
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; locals not accepted
