WordPress Web Developer

This is a full-time, in-person position located in Indianapolis, Indiana or New York, NY.

About our WordPress Web Developer:

The WordPress Web Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining audiochuck’s websites to ensure they align with our brand, enhance user experience, and support our mission to tell impactful stories. This role will collaborate across teams to create digital solutions that captivate and engage our audience.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and maintain visually engaging, user-friendly WordPress websites for audiochuck and its original podcasts while adhering to brand guidelines.

• Develop and customize WordPress themes, templates, and plugins using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Ensure website optimization for performance, mobile responsiveness, and SEO best practices.
• Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to support podcast launches, campaigns, and digital storytelling initiatives.
• Develop promotional landing pages in accordance with Marketing objectives.
• Assist audiochuck’s production team in maintaining blogs for weekly and seasonal podcasts.
• Implement analytics tools to track user engagement and performance metrics.
• Stay updated on web design trends, WordPress updates, and accessibility standards.
• Troubleshoot website issues and provide timely solutions for updates and improvements.

What You Will Bring to the Table:

• Bachelor’s degree in Web Development, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience designing and managing WordPress websites with a strong portfolio of past projects.
• Expertise in front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as responsive design frameworks.
• Strong design sensibility with attention to layout, typography, and user experience (UX).
• Familiarity with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Figma.
• Knowledge of web hosting, domains, and content delivery networks (CDNs).
• Experience working collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment.

This is a full-time, in-person position located in Indianapolis, Indiana or New York, NY.

The base salary for this role is between $100,000 and $110,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
