Embedded Corporate Security Agent (PlainClothes, CCW)

Location: SanFrancisco, CA (embarcadero corporate headquarters onsite only)

Schedule: MondayFriday, dayshift business hours; 10hour shifts. Initial assignment of approximately six (6) months, with potential extension up to one year or conversion to a longerterm role.

Compensation: $55.00$58.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Overtime eligibility subject to California state and federal labor laws.

Position Summary

This position functions as an embedded, armed, plainclothes corporate security agent. The agent maintains a visible yet discreet presence, conducts routine patrols, supports access control integrity, and responds to incidents in accordance with established site expectations and operational requirements.

Executive protection responsibilities are secondary and occasional, potentially including limited secure transportation or closeproximity support for designated executives when directed.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain lobby presence and cover frontdesk operations during scheduled breaks.
  • Monitor access control points and ensure compliance with established access procedures.
  • Conduct visible foot patrols and rotate coverage between two adjacent buildings.
  • Respond to safety and security incidents in accordance with established response protocols.
  • Provide limited executive protection and secure transportation support when directed.
  • Coordinate with the clients internal security team and CAI Operations Manager.
  • Maintain situational awareness and respond calmly and effectively under pressure.
  • Support emergency and medical response procedures when required.
  • Submit accurate daily activity logs and detailed incident reports in a timely manner.
  • Uphold professionalism and discretion to ensure continuity of business operations.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years of sworn law enforcement experience.
  • Valid and current California BSIS Guard Card, BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit, and California Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) permit. HR218 credentials are not accepted.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong judgment, situational awareness, and decisionmaking ability under pressure.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a plainclothes, corporate environment.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with corporate standards.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing operational needs.
  • Must maintain all required licenses, permits, and certifications in active status throughout employment.
  • Subject to preemployment and ongoing background checks, drug screening, and any clientmandated clearance requirements.

Preferred

  • Prior experience in a corporate or criticalsite security environment.

Technology & Reporting Expectations

  • Proficiency in the use of smartphones, email, and basic computer functions.
  • Ability to operate radios and standard communication devices.
  • Ability to accurately complete electronic activity logs, incident reports, and required documentation in a timely manner.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to conduct routine foot patrols across multiple buildings.
  • Ability to run short distances when required to respond to incidents.
  • Ability to safely and responsibly carry and deploy authorized equipment consistent with training and policy.
