Qualifications

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy, Art Therapy, or Music Therapy.

Required Experience:

• Completion of internship in recreation, art therapy, or music therapy preferably with a focus in mental health.

Required Certification/License/Registry:

• Required: Certified in Recreation Therapy (Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)), Art Therapy (Art Therapist Provisional (ATR-P) or Board-Certified Registered Art Therapist (ATR-BC), or Music Therapy (MT-BC, Board-Certified music therapist or eligible for board certification).

Job Summary:

• This position within the Behavioral Health Center is responsible in providing educational and therapeutic interventions which are constructive and beneficial to patients’ mental health and coincide with the patient's treatment plan and treatment modalities.
